Chief Minister N.Kiran Kumar Reddy on Thursday reminded the police that have a tremendous responsibility to get of crime in the society and ensure safety of protection of the people.
The Chief Minister was speaking on the occasion of the passing out parade at the A.P. State Police Academy when 1265 Sub-Inspectors were commissioned after completion of one year training. Home Minister Sabita Indra Reddy and DGP Dinesh Reddy besides senior IPS and IAS officials were present.
The Chief Minister also announced the renaming of the police academy as Rao Bahadur Venkat Rama Reddy Police Academy. He also reviewed and took salute of an impressive parade of the newly commissioned Sub-Inspectors.
Asserting that his government was committed for the welfare and uplift of the youth, Kiran Kumar Reddy said that it tune with the policy of empowering the youth as many as 1.25-lakh jobs were filled and notifications were also issued to fill up another1.50-lakh jobs at the earliest. Apart from this another 82,000 new jobs were created for recruitment. He added.
Observing that policing is a challenging task as a lot restraint and patience was required in the day to day discharge of the duties, the Chief Minister called upon the police to be impartial and dispassionate in investigations so that the needed justice could be done to the victims. “Any small or minor mistake or a wrong step by the police would have a greater impact on the government as it would be targeted for any failure on the part of the police “, he observed.
Kiran Kumar Reddy pointed out that the police have a job security as on being recruited they can sere the society till retirement, where as the politicians have to seek the support of the people every five years to come to power again. You have earned the job due to sheer hard work, intelligence and efficiency and not due to recommendations, influence or money powder. Therefore do not succumb to any pressures while discharging your duties, he added.(NSS).
