Kingpin of inter-state fake job racket held

Patna:The alleged kingpin of an inter-state fake job racket that also used to organise cheating in Subordinate services examinations and make money by offering fake jobs in Railways and police departments was arrested here today, police said.

Acting on a tip off, a joint police team of Patna and Hyderabad nabbed Navin Kumar Nishchal from a rented house in Nala road under Kadam Kuan police station, Patna Senior Superintendent of Police Manu Maharaj said.

During questioning, the man admitted his involvement in running a fake job racket and organising cheating in examinations in Bhopal, Telangana, Hyderbad besides Bihar, the SSP said.

Nishchal, who used to take Rs 3-4 lakh from youths in the name of offering job in Railway and police, was earlier arrested here for leaking question in the examination for job of court clerks in 2003, the SSP said.

Several cases have been registered against him on similar charges in Hyderabad too and a team of Hyderabad police has come here to bust the racket.

The accused is a native of Nalanda district of Bihar.

The police seized two mobiles, fake documents and a car during his arrest, the SSP said adding efforts are on to nab other members of the racket.
