Kingfisher Airlines will not be participating in the third International India Aviation 2012 show beginning here from March 14.
This was disclosed by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) Regional Director (Trade Fairs) Lt Col Vivek Kodikal. Talking to the mediapersons here, he confirmed the airlines was not participating in the show. ‘They are away from the show for obvious reasons,’ he said.
Kingfisher, which was one of the key participants earlier in the two editions, had decided to skip the five-day mega event being attended by 8,000 business visitors related to civil aviation industry across the globe due to the ongoing crisis in the airline. At the earlier events held in 2008 and 2010, Kingfisher was a leading participant.
The air show will have the components like exhibition, conference, CEO Forum, Chalets, static display, demonstration flights and media conferences, he said adding the conference on civil aviation sector with focus on policy issues and business aspects will be held concurrent to the exhibition. Eminent speakers, policy makers and experts will address the conference, he added. UNI
