A ten-foot-long cobra was retrieved from a residential area in KOthamangalam, Kerala, on Friday.
The female cobra, which was first spotted near a kitchen, later found refuge under a stone structure in Vadattupara Village near the Kothamangalam Forests.
The snake was captured by expert snake catcher Martin Meekamali.
He said it was quite tough to catch it.
The cobra has since been released into a nearby forest.
Meekamali is the president of the All Kerala Snake Protectors’ Association and has handled over 100 snakes so far. (ANI)
