New Delhi: The murder of Ankit Saxena, of west Delhi, is being given a communal colour by some vested interest groups. The family of the victim said that the murder was a result of fight between the two families, not a communal feud.
Meanwhile, to prevent any untoward incident, the security around the accused and victims’s family has been beefed up and the regular patrolling by the Delhi Police officers of DCP rank is going on.
Various groups have met the victim’s family and a candle light march to protest the murder is to be likely on Monday.
According to news reported in Times of India, Duggal, cousin of Ankit Saxena, said that “This incident is being given a communal colour. This is not correct,” He further added that “Our only demand right now is punishment under law to whoever was responsible for the murder. If any help is needed at the moment, it is to ensure that Ankit’s parents are provided a source of income because he was the sole breadwinner.”
Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari said that “A communal angle shouldn’t be given to organised crime,”
He further said that “I request the authorities to provide Ankit’s parents with Rs 1 crore as compensation.”
Ankit Saxena was the sole bread winner of the family and his father is a cardiac patient.
