The Sikh Community in Andhra Pradesh today strongly condemned the shooting at a Gurudwara at Wisconsin in USA in which six innocent Sikh were killed. Over 200 to 300 Sikh members under the banner of Andhra Pradesh Sikh Welfare Association gathered in front of the US Consulate office here and staged a peaceful demonstration holding up placards. A delegation led by S Iqbal Singh, S Harbans Singh and S Pritam Singh submitted a memorandum to Consulate officials condemning the killing and denounced the violence against the Sikh community. The US consulate told the delegation that the incident was unfortunate and regretted the heinous killing and assured them that the matter would be taken up with higher ups. UNI
