Kidney patient robbed of Rs 3 lakh

New Delhi, March 10: Thirty-five-year-old Savitri came to the capital from her Haryana village to undergo a kidney surgery but lost all her money totalling Rs three lakh when two men snatched her cash bag today outside AIIMS when she was on the way to a bank to deposit the money.

The incident was reported from near AIIMS in south Delhi around 2.30 pm while Savitri, hailing from Fatehabad in Haryana, was on way to Green Park branch of the State Bank of India to deposit the money, a senior police official said.

The woman had come to the city for a kidney surgery at AIIMS along with her nephew Om Prakash this morning.

After consulting the doctor, Savitri proceeded to the bank while her nephew went to purchase some medicines, the official said.
