The sensational kidnap of a boy in the city two days ago ended on a happy note on Saturday, when the police succeeded in nabbing the kidnappers and restoring the boy to his parents.
Geetesh, son of a financier Chakravarti of Mutyalampadu, was kidnapped two days ago. The kidnappers have demanded a ransom of Rs 1.5 crore. Chakravarti did not inform any one, including the police fearing that the abductors would kill his son. However, rumors spread about the kidnap and police sensed it and started investigation. They found that Gitesh was in Hyderabad and sent a team. They found the boy in a flat in the Arya Enclave of Nacharam Savarkar Nagar in Hyderabad. They also arrested Sunita and Shankar, who kidnapped the boy. The boy was brought to Hyderabad and presented before the media.
Parents of the boy heaved a sigh of relief when he came home unharmed. (NSS)
