Kidnap case unraveled: kidnapper wanted to save married life of childless sister

Hyderabad, December 10: Police has unraveled the kidnap case of a toddler at Malakpet. City police commissioner A K Khan handed over the abducted child Anirudh to his mother during a press conference and produced the kidnapper before the media.

The child had been kidnapped while he was playing near his house under the supervision of his grandmother.

The accused Raju had been searching for an infant so that he can handover him to his sister to save her married life and her husband may not divorce her.

Raju’s sister has been operated upon for 3 times and her husband had warned to divorce her in case she doesn’t give him a baby. Worried Raju wanted to help his sister. In his effort he had make rounds of almost all hospitals.

The child has been recovered from Mulug area of Medak district where he had been swapped with an infant. Raju wanted to give the infant to his sister.
