Khar women robbed of valuables while in car

Mumbai, September 27: The Khar police are on the look out of two unidentified men who attacked two young women and robbed them of valuables worth Rs30,000 at knifepoint.

On Friday evening, Khar resident Dimple Bhatija was in her car, parked on the Shirley Rajan Road in Khar along with her friend Kim Pandit. The duo was chatting when two armed men forcibly entered the car and threatened them.

The men, armed with a pistol and a knife, snatched their mobile phone and jewellery and asked them to drive the car. They asked the women to stop the vehicle near Lilavati Hospital and fled. Bhatija and Pandit approached the police and lodged a complaint.

The police have made sketches of the accused to circulate.
