A self-styled social panchayat in Barmer district has gave an authoritative instruction of chopping off a woman’s nose for complaining of rape against her father-in-law which led to his arrest.
The Shocking pronouncement was made by a khap panchayat of Luharwa village under Dhorimanna village in Barmer district with an ordered that her family should be socially boycotted for supporting her.
The woman, in a petition made to the police alleged that she was being sexually harassed by her father-in-law and even raped her following which she had lodged a complaint. The police detained her father-in-law.
But, the accused came out on bail and summoned a khap panchayat where the panchayat ordered to chopped off her nose for complaining to the police.
