Khalistan in Hyderabad, all thanks to HMDA

There was a time when the person who utters the name of Khalistan either in Punjab or other part of the country was apprehended and cases of betrayal were registered against him. But everything is possible with government departments. Don’t get confused! Actually HMDA has installed a board on outer ring road Junction (Andhra Pradesh Police Academy) on which it has scribed ‘Dargah Khalistan Kismathpur’. It is actually a misspelling of the original location ‘Dargah Khalij Khan Qismatpur’. Misspelling is a common phenomenon in government departments.

‘Dargah Khalij Khan Qismatpur’ is just two kms away from the board. Hazrat Khaleej Khan was the subedar of Aurangzeb regiment. His original name was Khaleej Khan Bahadur. He died on February 7, 1687. His mazar is located at Qismatpur, Himayatsagar.

Locals told that as soon as the board was installed at the junction, they tried to call officials’ attention towards the mistake, but the officials asked them to give an application to rectify the error. ‘everything has its own procedure’ the officials had said.
