Khalifa Appoints 17 Public Prosecutors

Abu Dhabi, January 19: The President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has issued a federal decree appointing 17 federal public prosecutors.

The new UAE public prosecutors were sworn in on Monday before Dr Hadef bin Jowan Al Dhahiri, Minister of Justice.

The minister welcomed the elite of the UAE law defenders to the justice system, saying the judiciary hopes they would administer equitable justice, uphold the rule of law, clear all obstacles and take whatever measure to guarantee rights of litigants and delivery of good treatment to them.

He told them that the government had placed its trust on them as bearers of the sublime profession carrying great responsibilities and greater confidence in order to achieve the aspired objectives and ambitions. He hoped their esteemed duty would contribute to the delivery of best services to UAE nationals and residents alike with ease and convenience.
