Khalid Bin Ali Al Haddad, resident of Moghalpura Hyderabad bagged gold medal in the 9th World WMF World Amateur and Pro-Am Muaythai Championship that concluded at Nimubuth National stadium in Bangkok in which 600 athletes from 64 countries participated.
He displayed his performance for the first time in Bangalore in National Championship in 2004 when he was just 14 and got gold medal in his first contest itself.
Then he also bagged gold medals in the years 2008, 2009 and 2010 thus getting the gold medals for 4 consecutive years. Later in Pro amateur championship held in Hyderabad he also proved his excellence and got gold medal.
Haddad is studying B.Com final year from Anwarul Uloom College, Mallepally. But despite surpassing the expectations of the nation and making the state proud, sadly no benefit has been given by the state government although the sports authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) spends crores of rupees to promote games on state level.
