Khadse alleges irregularities in land deals

Mumbai, April 06: Continuing his attack on the state government over land transfer irregularities, leader of Opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Eknath Khadse today alleged?that it had allowed irregularities to the tune of Rs 6,500 crore in transfer of land in Pune and Mumbai.

? Participating in the debate on budgetary demands of Housing, Urban development, General Administration and Marathi language departments in the Lower House, Khadse alleged 12,618 sq meter land in Parel in central Mumbai belonging to the Municipal corporation and reserved for civic staff quarters and garages was given to Shripati group by violating Development Control (dc) rules.

The letter of intent (LOI)for cluster development was given without the consent of the 70 per cent of the existing tenants on May 21, 2010, he added.
