Mumbai: The key Indian equity indices on Monday opened in green supported by positive investor sentiments.
The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex), was trading 55.61 points or 0.19 per cent up soon after opening.
The wider 51-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading 24.50 points or 0.28 per cent higher at 8,804.35 points.
The Sensex of the BSE, which opened at 28,626.60 points, was trading at 28,654.6 points (at 9.17 a.m.), higher 55.61 points or 0.19 per cent from the previous day’s close at 28,599.03 points.
The Sensex touched a high of 28,663.32 points and a low of 28,608.99 points in the trade so far.
