TDP MLA Payyavula Keshav today alleged that Union minister Jaipal Reddy was aspiring to become chief minister of Telangana State after bifurcation of the united State.
Speaking to the media here, Keshav, who belongs to the Rayalaseema region, said Jaipal Reddy kept quiet for the last nine years. But now he started speaking fiercely in favour of Telangana State because he is enamoured of CM’s post.
Keshav said it was wrong to find fault with the resolution which was passed in the Assembly rejecting the Telangana bill by voice of vote. If a bill passed in the Assembly by voice vote was not honored, the law would nullify all such resolutions passed by voice vote.
Condemning the statements of Union ministers Sushil Kumar Shinde, Jaipal Reddy, AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh with regard to State bifurcation, Payyavula alleged that Jaipal Reddy and Sushil Kumar Shinde were talking as if they know everything about dates of sending the bill to Parliament. It will be the President, who will forward the bill to Parliament. “If they had information about the dates and times, did they think that the President is a rubber stamp? He said Union ministers of Seemandhra Kavuri Sambasiva Rao and Panabaka Lakshmi should strive to prevent bifurcation of the State. (NSS)
