Keshav Rao is TRS Parliamentary Party leader

Hyderabad: The TRS Parliamentary Party meeting was held under the chairmanship of TRS President and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao at Pragathi Bhavan on Thursday.

Hyderabad: The meeting discussed the strategy to be adopted during the ensuing Parliament sessions. The meeting also unanimously elected TRS Parliamentary Party leader and the party’s Leader in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.

Senior MP Dr K Keshav Rao was elected as the TRS Parliamentary Party leader while Khammam MP Nama Nageswara Rao was elected as the party’s leader in Lok Sabha. Dr Keshav Rao was elected as the party’s leader in Rajya Sabha. It was also decided to appoint one deputy leader and a whip each in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. It was also decided in the meeting to appoint one deputy leader, whip each in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. .B.B. Patil, MP (LokSabha) will be TRS Party Whip in Lok Sabha. K.Prabhakar Reddy, MP(Lok Sabha) will be the Deputy floor leader in the Lok Sabha. Banda Prakash Mudiraj, MP (Rajya Sabha) to be the Deputy floor leader in the Rajya Sabha and J.Santosh Kumar, MP (Rajya Sabah) will be the TRS party whip in the Rajya Sabha.

The chief minister has instructed the MPs of the ruling party to raise their voice for the State welfare and development. Get funds by making persistent efforts for the state and raise your voice as and when it is required, the TRS supremo informed the MPs.

The TRS boss has assigned duties to the party MPs as to how they can get ample funds for the State. Get the funds which are yet to be received from the centre for various development programs and schemes, the chief minister asked the MPs. The chief minister asked the MPs to shift focus on the pending state issues, funds to be released, bifurcation issues and others. The TRS MPs were asked to mount pressure on the Centre to resolve the bifurcation issues and get funds under various schemes.

The MPs attended include – P Ramulu (Nagar Kurnool), Manne Srinivas Reddy (Mahabub Nagar), M Kavitha (Mahabubabad), Nama Nageshwar Rao (Khammam), K Prabhakar Reddy (Medak), N Venkatesh (Peddapally), Ranjith Reddy (Chevella), BB Patil (Jaheerabad), P Dayakar (Warangal).
