Kerala University fixes the pension details of Prof. P. K. Abdul Azis

Bhopal October 05 (Pervez Bari): To pre-empt any new move to target the Aligarh Muslim University, (AMU), Vice Chancellor once again on trivial and routine issue the AMU Finance Officer has clarified that at the instance of AMU, the Kerala University has now fixed the retirement details including pension benefits of the AMU Vice Chancellor, Prof. P. K Abdul Azis who is formerly Professor of Kerala University.

According to a AMU Press release the Kerala University has finally responded to our initiative and fixed the pension of Prof. Azis as communicated vide letter No. Accounts VI (B)/2011 dated September 29, 2011. As per the information by the University of Kerala the pension of Prof. Azis was sanctioned on 01.03.2011 and an arrear of Rs. 3,28,750 was paid along with the seven month pension amount paid to him till October 2011.

The Finance Officer has informed that AMU Vice Chancellor, Prof. P. K. Abdul Azis has remitted all the pension amount received by him from the University of Kerala into the AMU account / fund soon after receiving the amount. In accordance with the standard rules, the University has now fixed his salary minus the pension w.e.f. November 2011. (pervezbari@eth.net)
