Kerala man with tampered passport held

RGI Immigration Officials have arrested a man who used the passport of another person to reach Hyderabad from the United Arab Emirates Dubai at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad.

Ashraf Kandoth Chalil, a resident of Kerala, was working in Dubai UAE, for the past eleven years. According to RGI Airport sub-inspector D Mahesh, Ashraf Kandoth Chalil “With the help of a broker, Ashraf secured a passport belonging to one Habeeb Rahman Mavathuparambil Hamza and got the original photograph replaced with his own,” he said. However, he was arrested by the police after he landed at the RGI Airport on Monday night hours. (INN)
