Kenyan Muslims guard Christian churches, after the attacks

After the recent attacks on Christians by suspected Somali militants in northeastern province of Kenya, Muslims are coming forward to help the policemen for protecting churches.

Local leaders of Muslim community have decided to provide their own protection following July 1 attacks on churches in the town of Garissa – close to the Kenyan-Somali border.

According to news published in The Christian Science Monitor, local Muslim youths and their leaders patrolled with the police during church services, and no attacks were reported on last Sunday, July 8.
