Kelly Clarkson to host 2019 Billboard Music Awards

Washington: American singer-songwriter Kelly Clarkson is back for hosting 2019 Billboard Music Awards.

NBC announced on Thursday that the 36-year-old singer will be returning to host this year’s awards for a second time, reported E! News.

Expressing her happiness to return as the host of the award ceremony, she said, “I had so much fun hosting the Billboard Music Awards last year that I’m back for more. We’re turning it up a notch this year and I can’t wait to celebrate all of my fellow amazing artists for another unforgettable night of live music.”

The singer also shared the news with her fans on her social media handles.

Kelly did an amazing job as a host at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards, where popular singers like Demi Lovato, Shawn Mendes, and Christina Aguilera took the stage to perform their hit songs.

Kelly released her eight studio album titled ‘Meaning of Life’ in 2017. She is currently continuing her run as a judge on American television series ‘The Voice’. She is also gearing up for her own personal hosting gig this fall with NBC’s ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’.

The three hour award ceremony will also mark the second year the Billboard Music Awards will air on NBC. The music awards will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
