Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday welcomed the Delhi High Court ruling which said that the Centre and Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) have no right to interfere with state’s anti-corruption unit.
“Yesterday, our government completed 100 days of governance, so I thought it was our responsibility to share our work with you. A big ruling has come from the High Court and I want to congratulate all of you for that. Today HC has ruled that Centre and Home Ministry have no rights to interfere with Delhi ACB,” Kejriwal said, while addressing a public cabinet meeting here.
“When God is with you, you don’t have to worry who’s against you,” he added.
Delhi government’s anti-corruption branch has the jurisdiction to arrest policemen. The Delhi high court had earlier today dismissed the bail application of a head constable who was arrested by the ACB in a corruption case. (ANI)
