Hyderabad, November 05: As November 22 approaches, Hyderabadis are preparing themselves for the Hyderabad 10K run and Half Marathon. Cricketer Yuvraj Singh was the first to register and procure the 10K run kit, which was launched on Thursday.
This year will witness many NGOs participating in the run as the organisers have extended their help to individual NGOs who would like to run for their own cause.
“We are opening the field for NGOs this time, so that they can run for their cause as well,” said organiser Suresh Babu. “They can have their logos printed on the tshirts that will be released.” He also said that about 25,000 people are expected to be a part of the run that will start from People’s Plaza, Necklace Road, go around Hussainsagar and end at People’s Plaza.
The Half Marathon will begin at 5.30 am from People’s Plaza to Charminar and back, covering 21 km. “The event is expected to draw professional long-distance runners,” Babu said.
Registrations could be done online on www.hyderabad10krun.
com or at all Apollo Pharmacies, GVK One Mall and various other locations around the Twin Cities.
