Keep off NTR stadium, KCR told

Leaders of various political parties have demanded that the Telangana State government drop the idea of constructing Telangana Kalabharathi at NTR Stadium in the city.

BJP floor leader Dr K Laxman, CPI’s Dr K Narayana and Loksatta founder-president Dr Jayaprakash Narayana visited theNTR Stadium on Sunday and interacted with youth playing cricket in the ground.
Speaking to the media later, Dr Laxman demanded that the TRS government keep off the NTR stadium, which was being used by the youth for sports purpose and construct Telangana Kalabharathi elsewhere in the City. He said it will be not proper on the part of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to act unilaterally.
Dr Narayana said there was a need to protect the grounds like NTR Stadium for the purpose of the children of poor sections to play games. JP has lashed out at KCR alleging that the Chief Minister’s post has become a “stone in the hands of a mad person” and demanded that the government leave the NTR Stadium as it is. He also announce that he would launch a ‘Signature Campaign’ against the Chief Minister’s move. (NSS)
