Finance Minister Etela Rajender on Monday claimed that the maiden visit of K Chandrasekhar Rao to Karimnagar on Tuesday as the Chief Minister of Telangana would be of high significance.
Speaking to media persons here, Etela recalled that KCR launched the Telangana agitation from Karimnagar in 2001 and turned the dream into a reality after a struggle of nearly 13 years. Karimnagar remained the epicentre of statehood agitation and it also played a major role in bringing TRS to power in recent Assembly elections. Therefore, KCR’s visit as the first Chief Minister of Telangana would be historic in nature.
Etela informed that KCR will launch several developmental programmes in Karimnagar district and will also interact with different sections of the people. (INN)
