TDP senior leader Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy today alleged that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao is taking “vengeance” against Seemandhra people staying in Hyderabad.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Wednesday, Somireddy said Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao and other TRS leaders have assured all protection to the Seemandhra people. But why they were indulging in intimidating acts, he questioned and said even after achieving Telangana State, it was not proper for them to adopt arm-twisting methods against their Seemandhra brethren.
“How can the Chief Minister justify demolition of houses in Guruakal Trust lands where people had constructed houses 30 years ago and staying. If KCR is sincere, he should first take action against those officials, who have accorded permission for construction of buildings. Somireddy also alleged that the TRS government was taking revenge by destroying structures at Ayyappa society where TDP polled 70,000 votes in the recent general election. “We too want to build new capital for Andhra Pradesh as early as possible. But you being Telugu people should not harass your own Telugu brothers, the TDP leader rued.
Somireddy said when Hyderabad is a joint capital, why the Governor was keeping quiet when the State government was destroying the structures of middle class people. Is it not the responsibility of the Governor to provide protection to the people?, he asked. He also alleged that the Governor was not serious on the ban on Telugu channels in Telangana. (NSS)
