KCR worried about losing Muslim votes, talks to Jamat-e-Islami leaders for hours

Hyderabad: Worried with losing Muslim votes, KCR is forced to contact Muslim voters and organizations in order to muster their support.

As the first step, KCR invited the leaders of Jamat-e-Islami of Telangana. These leaders were wonderstruck on receiving invitation from him. He was not prepared to give even five minutes time earlier but now he spent four hours continuously.

Mr. KCR has realized that his failure to provide 12% reservations to Muslims will affect his election campaign and the Muslims will vote in favour of Congress.

The lengthy meeting started with sumptuous Hyderabadi dishes served at lunch in Pragathi Bhavan.

After hosting the lunch, Mr. KCR gave the details of injustices meted out to the Muslims after the partition of India.

Sources indicated that KCR made an attempt to persuade Muslim leaders to vote for TRS in the next election. He sought their support on the basis of the performance of TRS during the past four years.

He once again assured that after the general elections, he will make an attempt to get reservation bill passed. He admitted that the graph of popularity of Mr. Modi has declined and BJP is not in a position to get absolute majority as it did in 2014 elections. In such a situation, TRS will play an important role in the formation of coalition government. It will facilitate TRS to get reservations accepted.

It is reported that the leaders of Jamat-e-Islami appreciated the performance of TRS and hinted at supporting the party but they also told that they would consult other likeminded parties.

There are reports that the local ally of TRS is arranging the meetings of other Muslim organizations with KCR. It is expected that very soon, the meetings of United Muslim Forum, Muslim Mutawallis, Sajjadas and scholars will be arranged.

Dy. CM of TS, Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali has taken the responsibility of arranging the meetings of Muslim leaders and organizations with KCR.
