Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will bring about a qualitative change in national politics and play a key role after the results of the general elections announced on May 23, Excise Minister V Srinivas Goud has said.

Addressing a TRS parliamentary party meeting in Mahabub Nagar town on Saturday attended by MLAs Ch Rammohan Reddy, Anjaiah, P Narender Reddy, MP candidate Manne Srinivas Reddy, MLC Damodar Reddy and others, the minister said the TRS would sweep the LS polls and win all the 16 MP seats it contested. With its ally MIM, the TRS Chief will play a significant role this time in national politics, he hoped.

The BJP and the Congress party will not get majority to form government at the Centre. Consequently, the regional parties will form a coalition government to be headed by the Telangana Chief Minister, he said, adding that the TRS supremo will have his say in forming a new government at the Centre with 17 MP seats. The TRS Government was aimed at completing Palamur-Ranga Reddy Irrigation project, Srinivas Goud said. The party will give due priority to the leaders and workers, who are coordinating to strengthen the party.
