Hyderabad: Close on the heels of Budget session of Assembly, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today took a close watch of live coverage of the Union Budget 2016-17 presented by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. At his camp office the chief minister had discussed with his Cabinet colleagues and the top level officials on the budgetary allocations to various heads. KCR is said to have zeroed in on to come up with about Rs 1.30 lakh cr budget for 2016-17. He also assessed on the impact of the Central budget on the state budget and its proposals. Even as Jaitley unfolded the Budget that was pegged at Rs 19.78 lakh cr KCR was keen to know the allocations made to key sectors, funds allotted to two Telugu States. Jaitley announced in the budget the share in central taxes to the states and other priorities, proposals and allocations made that exempted those salaried with Rs 5 lakh income per annum from paying tax. Later on it is learnt that the chief minister asked the officials budget allocations in accordance with those announced by the Centre. (NSS)
