Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao will visit New Delhi on July 16 to participate in the Inter-State Council meeting to be presided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
According to sources, Chief Ministers of all States in the country have been invited for the Inter-State Council meeting to discuss and resolve contentious issues between the Centre and States. Discussions will also be held on inter-State disputes. The meeting is also likely to hold discussions on internal security and other related issues. The meeting is being convened by the Union Government after a gap of nearly 12 years, sources said.
During his visit to the national capital, KCR is likely to make representations with the Prime Minister on issues concerning Telangana State. As a prelude, the Chief Minister is convening a preparatory meeting with Chief Secretary Dr. Rajiv Sharma and other senior officials to prepare a report to be submitted to the Prime Minister during Inter-State Council meeting.
