Disgruntlement of Muslim voters in Warangal Lok Sabha bye elections has become the cause of concern for ruling TRS. According to the reports received by the party, during election campaign in all the 7 assembly constituencies Muslim voters have questioned failure of government in fulfilling its promises especially 12% reservations.
Apart from party quarters, government has also received reports from intelligence regarding Muslims’ disgruntlement, following which Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has sprung into action. He had asked ministers and public representatives engaged in election campaign to rope in local Muslim religious and social leaders to gain support of Muslims.
It is said that Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali has been given the responsibility to rope in Muslim representatives belonging to all religious, social and voluntary organisations and try to gain Muslim support.
