TTDP working president A Revanth Reddy alleged that the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was not treating Telangana as a state but treating it as a kingdom and made it clear that the opposition parties were questioning the Chief Minister on various issues in a democratic manner only.
Participating in a round table meeting on ‘Palamuru-Rangareddy project’ here on Monday, Revanth Reddy asked the state government whether demanding transparency in the construction of projects was a crime. Alleging that the Chief Minister was stating time and again that the irrigation water will be made available for one crore acres only to loot the state, Revanth Reddy lashed out at KCR saying that the latter never said that there was a need of redesigning of projects. KCR was bringing redesigning issue to the fore only after the embrace of ‘Bethala Mantrikudu’ (DR KVP Ramachandra Rao). He reminded that 90 percent of the works of five projects in Mahabubnagar district was completed by the earlier TDP and Congress governments only. He alleged that the TRS leaders were chanting redesigning mantra for notes in the beginning and now for votes. “KCR redesigned his life but not the projects”, he ridiculed. It was not proper for KCR to allege that the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was obstructing the water, he said and pointed out that water will go to Andhra only if Telangana accepts for it.
