Alleging that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has established ‘Political Brothel Houses’ in the State and changed the politicians into “prostitutes”, Congress senior leader and Rajya Sabha member Palvai Govardhan Reddy questioned the former as what he has done to the state to celebrate his two-year rule.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Tuesday, Palvai alleged that KCR changed the politicians of all levels as prostitutes in the State. He claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and KCR were deceiving the people by doing wrong things. He said Modi staying outside the country because pollution in New Delhi was at a peak.
Alleging that KCR failed to distribute three acres land to Dalits, Palvai said KCR would not even construct 10 percent of double bedroom houses in his tenure. The Telangana State was a surplus revenue State when it was created, he said and questioned KCR as to why the revenue surplus state was made into a minus State now. Finding fault with KCR for not completing Bheema, Koilsagar, Nettempadu projects in the last two years, Palvai said there was no water for the Palamuru-Rangareddy project. He said Nagarajuna Sagar project overflowed only three times in the last 60 years. “Where from water will come to Palamuru-Rangareddy project if it is completed?”, he questioned.
He said KCR was implementing the irrigation projects prepared by one retired engineer-in-chief Ranga Reddy and himself. The State would not develop with beautiful speeches, he said and demanded Modi, KCR and Babu to clear as to what they have done in the last two years.
Stating that the conditions in villages were terrible due to severe drought in the State, Palvai said the government was gearing up to celebrate two year festival in grand scale. Finding fault with KCR for announcing that he would construct new secretariat by destroying the existing one, Palvai opined that the State would develop if the same amount was spent on the welfare of the people. He also found fault with the proposed Telangana Cultural Bhavan as there was no need to spend Rs 500 crore on the building.
Govardhan Reddy called upon the Congress cadre to celebrate the Telangana Formation Day at village level by hoisting national flag. “AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi conceded the separate Telangana State and hence the Congress cadre has the right to celebrate the occasion”, he said. (NSS)
