Taking a serious exception to banning of dharnas at Indira Park, CPI national secretary Dr K Narayana has alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was denying the primary rights of the people of the Telangana State.
Speaking to the media here on Thursday, Narayana said the State government had not given permission to the TJAC’s Unemployment Rally scheduled to be held on February 22 at Indira Park in a democratic manner. The police detained all the leaders and not allowed them to organize an agitation forgetting the fact that TJAC had played a key role in achieving separate Telangana State.
The dream of separate Telangana State had become a reality with the agitations conducted at Indira Park. After become Chief Minister, KCR was not in a position to tolerate agitations now, he said. He alleged that the Chief Minister failed to initiate steps to reduce the problem of unemployment in the State more so the Chief Minister was obstructing the agitations being launched on the issue. The Chief Minister was indulging in such “undemocratic” acts only to cover the State government’s irregularities, he fumed. (NSS)
