KCR took farmers for a ride: Uttam Kumar

Stating that K Chandrasekhar Rao has become a Chief Minister assuring that he will waive off farmers loans, TPCC alleged that the KCR deceiving the farmers by not waiving off the loans.

 

Addressing the Raithu Garjana meeting held at Adilabad Ramleela Maidan here on Tuesday, TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy said the farmers, who were not getting new loans, were facing troubles due to non-waiver of third phase loan waiver. He said the Chief Minister slipped his own word of waiving off of loans though the Centre increased loan limit. He alleged that the Chief Minister diverted the Centre’s Rs 900 crore input subsidy. Thousands of farmers were committing suicides due to negligent attitude of KCR government towards agriculture sector.

 

Alleging that Chief Minister KCR was moving forward with the slogan ‘Contractors are Kings…Commissions are Important’, Uttam said the Chief Minister was destroying the State with bad policies. The Agriculture sector fell in crisis in Telangana State due to KCR’d policies, he alleged and assured that the Congress party will stand by the farmers by conducting Raithu Garjana meetings in every district. Suggesting to the State government to acquire lands as per Land Acquisition Act-2013, Uttam made it clear that the Congress party will not allow the State government to acquire a single acre land if it acquired land following its own G.O.
