In the wake of grand success of TRS first plenary at LB Stadium on Saturday, party supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is expected to apprise the people on the priorities of the government and welfare measures being taken up, during the Public Meeting to mark the party foundation day on April 27 to be held for two hours from 4 pm to 6 pm.
On the one hand, the Chief Minister is likely to woo the party men and people and on the other, nullify the criticism of the Opposition parties. KCR will draw a comparison between the previous governments, which deceived the region that compelled to launch statehood movement and his 10-month-old TRS Government focusing on welfare and development with multiple schemes. Besides, KCR is expected to recount how the TRS was born and took up a protracted struggle involving people for 14 years to achieve statehood.
The pink party boss will show much enthusiasm to pulverize the Opposition criticism on various programs during his address at the public meeting, which may see a mammoth turnout. At the same time, the Telangana Chief Minister is likely to seek wholehearted cooperation of the people to transform the State into a golden Telangana. The issues likely to be prominently figure at the public meeting include – yet to be launched new industrial policy, steep hike in pensions to widows, old aged, physically handicapped and beedi workers, Rs 6-a-kg fine rice scheme, Kalyana Lakshmi, Shaadi Mubarak, three acres of land to Dalits and others. He will also draw attention of the people through painting a rosy picture on how he plans to make persistent efforts for the flagship programs of Water Grid and Mission Kakatiya estimated at Rs 25,000 crore and Rs 40,000 crore respectively, Harithaharam and Hyderabad development.
According to informed sources, the Chief Minister is likely to instill confidence among the people for giving him power and may reiterate to keep every promise made. Giving impetus on welfare to deliver the goods to Dalits, Tribals, Minorities and destitutes, the CM is all set to woo the party men and activists, who are expected to turn out in huge numbers for the event.
