Former PCC president Ponnala Laxmaiah on Thursday termed the reorganization of districts as a unilateral decision of the TRS government and demanded that it should take people’s demand in to consideration before taking a final call on the issue.
Laxmaiah met the high power committee on new districts chairman MP Keshava Rao and submitted a memorandum to create Jangoan district immediately.
Speaking to reporters, Laxmaiah demanded the state government to set up a judicial commission to reorganize the districts, revenue divisions and mandals in the state. Only a judicial commission can avert any legal hurdles arising out of the process in the future, Laxmaiah said. (INN)
