KCR Sleeps, Telangana Weeps

Hyderabad, December 19: The lull in the agitation for separate Telangana state at present has once again brought into focus the role played by Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao in galvanizing the people of the region to fight for the statehood.

Whether one agrees or not, it is now clear that only KCR has the capabilities to lead the Telangana movement.

The moment he goes into the sleeping mode, the agitation subsides and everything comes to normal. Even the Telangana Joint Action Committee becomes active only if the KCR gets into action and organizes one programme or the other.

The so-called Telangana protagonists, whether it is Gaddar or Vimalakka or Telangana Vimochana Samithi or even the veteran Konda Lakshman Bapuji, become irrelevant when KCR withdraws into shell.

The Telangana Telugu Desam Party leaders and even the Telangana Congress leaders are just paper tigers and they have proved that they have virtually no interest in achieving Telangana statehood and no intention to run the Telangana movement in the absence of KCR.

All these people come to the fore only when the TRS president or the TJAC launches the agitation and takes it to the peak. They also give an impression that they are all fighting for the cause. They make all sorts of allegations against KCR and accuse him of sabotaging the movement. They say the Telangana issue is delayed only because of KCR.

But once KCR becomes silent, Gaddar, Bapuji, Vimalakka and Dilip Kumar simply disappear. If they really have the love towards Telangana, who stopped them from carrying the Telangana movement forward and replace KCR in the leadership? So, if KCR sleeps, Telangana weeps
