Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari has claimed that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao was quite serious on categorisation of Scheduled Castes in Telangana State.
Speaking to media persons on Friday, the Deputy CM said that KCR has taken up the matter of SC categorisation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his recent visit to New Delhi. Thanking KCR on behalf of SC community, he expressed confidence that the BJP-led NDA Government would fulfill its promise of categorisation of SCs.
Kadiyam said all sections of the society, who believes in social justice, feels that the purpose with which Dr. B.R. Ambedkar provided reservation to SCs was not fulfilled as injustice was done with many castes due to non-categorisation. He said it was impossible to deliver justice to all SC castes without taking up categorisation. (INN)
