Hyderabad: In a public meeting at Nirmal, KCR explained about the band which he ties on his arm and recalls an anecdote.

He recalled when Naidu was a minister in his cabinet and they had gone to Nizamabad, on the way I advised him to greet people by saying “Id Mubarak”. But he greeted the people saying “Ud Mubarak”. He said, I can’t help, but laugh when I recall it.

While explaining about the band he said without knowing people call it as ‘datti’ when it is ‘Patti’.

He said, “It is actually called ‘Imam-e-Zaman’ and said, once the Prophet’s son-in-law seen a man slaughtering a deer and he stopped the man from slaughtering. He told the man that the deer was trying to convey that she had a baby and wanted to feed milk and return. The man agreed to let the deer go after tying a piece of cloth to its leg. The Prophet’s son-in-law sat with the man and said if the deer did not return. But when the deer returned, he was surprised.”

“The ‘Imam-e-Zaman’ is tied wishing safety. By seeing me others are also tying it. But some who don’t understand the meaning also tie it to their neck even I also tie it to my neck,” he said.
