Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Monday directed the officials to ensure better transportation and other facilities for lakhs of pilgrims visiting various Pushkar ghats across five districts of Telangana State.
The Chief Minister held a tele-conference with the Collectors and SPs of Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Warangal and Khammam districts and enquired about the conduct of Godavari Pushkarulu. He said enough precautions should be taken for better management of crowd while avoiding traffic snarls on all routes leading to pushkar ghats. During the review meeting, KCR was briefed that nearly six lakh people have come to Dharmapuri in Karimnagar district to take a holy dip. He directed the top officials to monitor the arrangements on 24×7 basis and take precautions to avoid any eventuality. (INN)
