Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao held a review meeting on Wednesday evening at his camp office to finalise the drought affected Mandals in the state based on the preliminary reports submitted by District Collectors.
Chief Secretary Dr. Rajeev Sharma, Principal Secretary to CM S. Narsing Rao, Principal Secretary Agriculture Parthasarathi, Principal Secretary Revenue B. R. Meena, Special Secretary to CM Smitha Sabarwal, Commissioner Agriculture Priyadarshini and others attended the Meeting.
The number of mandals as per the preliminary reports of the collector is little over 200. The Chief Minister has asked the officers concerned and Chief Secretary to finalise the exact number of mandals to be declared as drought affected as per the guidelines of Government of India. He told the officers that the detail report with exact number of mandals affected will have to be prepared in the next three four days to forward to the Government of India for financial assistance.
