The Telangana State Government has postponed a meeting on Minor irrigation to Sept 25. Earlier, the government stated that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will review the program on Sept 22. But the officials later informed that the meeting will be held on Sept 25 instead.
It may be noted that the CM is of the opinion to strengthen minor and medium projects in the state with an impetus on the projects that are needed to be completed. A survey on water bodies, lakes and tanks is on and a report is to be submitted to the CM soon, according to sources. The CM is likely to review the situation only after getting total details and information of the lakes and water bodies it is learnt.(NSS)
