Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today released a CD christened “Bhaje Krishnavenim” at camp office here.
Endowments Minster A Indrakaran Reddy, Government OSD and poet Deshapathi Srinivas and MLA G Kamalakar were present. The songs were penned by Telakapally Ramachandra Shastry. The Chief Minister said Shastry was a great scholar, who taught Sanskrit to noted poet Vishwanatha Satyanarayana. Telangana is proud of Telakapally Ramachandra Shastry, who served the region with ultimate prowess and caliber in the language, KCR stated.
In united Andhra Pradesh, Telangana scholars were not allowed to see the light, he said. The State government will give due honor to poets and literary giants and others vying for development and spread of the laguange, he said. KCR appreciated Telangana Vikasa Samithi president Deshapathi Srinivas and producer Sivakumar for the new CD.
Indrakaran Reddy said the CDs will be distributed to all pushkar ghats in Mahbubnagar and Nalgonda districts celebrating Krishna Pushkaralu. The audio of the CD will reverberate at all the temples and bathing ghats, he maintained. He praised signers Partha Sarathi and Pavan Kumar for their contribution. (NSS)
