Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao has won from both the Medak Lok Sabha and the Gajwel Assembly constituencies.
While KCR won the Medak Lok Sabha seat with a huge margin of 4.70 lakh votes, he got elected from Gajwel Assembly seat by a margin of 19,391 votes. It may be mentioned that KCR had won both Karimnagar Lok Sabha and Siddipet Assembly segments in 2004 elections. He had retained the Karimnagar and left the Siddipet seat to his nephew T Harish Rao.
However, sources say that KCR might retain the Gajwel Assembly seat as he is likely to be elected the leader of TRS Legislature Party to enable him to take oath as the first Chief Minister of Telangana State. (INN)
