KCR readies action plan for poll campaigning from Sept. 7

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, who was keen on advancing the elections to the Telangana Assembly and taking the required steps in this direction, has already prepared his action plans to face the ensuing battle royal by effectively countering any challenge from his detractors.

After having proved the ruling party’s show of strength, though not to the extent of his calculations, at last Sunday’s Pragati Nivedana Sabha on the outskirts of the city, KCR seemed to have chalked out an hectic election campaigning by holding a series of public meetings in all the districts of the State. As part of this action plan, KCR would address a mass rally in Husnabad under Siddipet constituency on September 7. Interestingly, it would be the first meeting and that one day after the likelihood of the State Cabinet passes a resolution for dissolution of the Assembly on September 6.

The Chief Minister is understood to have also prepared road map for all his senior leaders, including ministers for taking up relentlessly the campaigning in all the constituencies by organizing public rallies and also mobilizing the electorate for the same. As per the immediate plans prepared by KCR, he is likely to address mass rallies in as many as 100 Assembly constituencies spread over 50 days. And the first such meeting will be held in Husnabad on September 7. He had started his election campaign from Husnabad in 2014.

In the meanwhile, there were clear indications about the State administration getting ready for early polls what with the top officials of the government and the State legislature holding a meeting in the Secretariat. Legislature Secretary Narasimhacharlu called on the Chief Secretary S.K. Sharma and both of them were joined in the discussions by concerned officials of various departments. Special Advisor to the State Government Rajiv Sharma, who had recently held discussions with the Chief Election Commissioner in New Delhi also attended today’s high-level meeting.
