Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has proposed an e-Application where the entire information about citizens could be stored.
Addressing a review meeting on proposed Data Bank of citizens at his camp office on Saturday, the Chief Minister said that the information would not be used only to maintain Law & Order, but it could be extended to other departments. He said that e-application would be quite help in Disaster Management or other emergencies. He said that previous governments failed to make effective use of technology to benefit citizens. However, he said that the Telangana Government wants to use technology to provide better services to the people.
The Chief Minister said e-Application was used on trial basis to track evaders of Commercial Taxes and it was proved highly effective.
The meeting was attended by Hyderabad Police Commissioner M. Mahender Reddy, Mee Seva Commission G. P. Venkateshwar Rao and other senior police and IT officials. (INN)
