Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has assured to fill the nominated posts of 12 different corporations in the State soon.
Addressing the Telangana Rashtra Samithi Legislature Party meeting at Telangana Bhavan here on Wednesday, KCR said that the governing bodies of 12 corporations would be constituted soon. Further, the posts of market committees will be filled. He advised party legislators to recommend the names of active party leaders and workers for different posts.
KCR also assured that the party committees at the Panchayats and Mandal levels too would be constituted soon. He informed that Grama Jyothi programme will be held from 17th to 23rd August across the State. He said Rs. 25,000 crore would be spent in the next four years under this programme to ensure overall development of rural areas. He advised party legislators to adopt one mandal or village in their respective constituency and take up the responsibility of their development as a model.
The Chief Minister alleged that the rural areas were completely neglected by the previous regimes in the united State. In order to undo the injustices done to villages, the TRS Government is planning to strengthen the Panchayat Raj institutions. He said under ‘Grama Jyothi’ programme, the development agenda would be decided by the Sarpanch, MPTC, ZPTC and Ward members by conducting a Grama Sabha. He directed the party leaders to participate in the Grama Jyothi programme to make it a grand success.(INN)
