Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has promised to develop Hyderabad city like the Dallas of United States of America.
Addressing the TRS extended session at RD Convention Hall in Kompally here on Tuesday, KCR said he was firm on developing Hyderabad as a global city. Stating that despite having a population of nearly one crore, the city lacks basic amenities. He said that the conditions were so worse that the roads at Chief Minister’s Office and Raj Bhavan get stagnated after a spell of rains.
The Chief Minister said it sound ridiculous when someone calls Hyderabad a Hitech City. The city lacks infrastructure, parks, dhobi ghats and even crematoriums. The entire city has just 24 markets which are not sufficient for the people. He announced that the State Government would construct new markets at Panjagutta, Malakpet, Erramanzil and other places.
Accusing the opposition parties of being unable to digest the fact that Telangana State was moving on the path of growth, he condemned some leaders for targeting the TRS Government even on non-issues. He also slammed a section of media for criticising his government. Citing an instance, he referred to a headline which said “HC pulls up TS Government”. He said that the High Court did not pull up the government, but only asked when it was planning to conduct the GHMC elections. He said that the elections were delayed due to the ongoing delimitation process. (INN)
